Seva Aashray Mission - Shelter for Homeless

Every individual deserves dignity, care, and a safe place to rest. Yet, across our society, countless people continue to struggle for basic shelter—sleeping on roadsides, outside hospitals, and in unsafe public spaces. Many of them are patients who have traveled from distant villages for treatment, elderly people without caregivers, or vulnerable individuals with no permanent home. Recognizing this urgent need, Online Service Association (OSA) launched a dedicated initiative called Seva Aashray.

What is Seva Aashray

Seva Aashray is a humanitarian program that provides shelter and care to homeless and helpless individuals. Through this program, we identify people who are left without support—whether they are patients who come from rural areas for medical treatment, abandoned elderly individuals, or those who have no place to stay—and help them move into safe and reliable shelter homes.

We work in close coordination with government shelter homes, Rain Basera centers, and community-based shelters, ensuring that these facilities, many of which often remain underutilized, are effectively used to serve the people who need them the most.

Why Seva Aashray Matters

Despite the availability of government-supported shelter homes, many remain empty due to lack of awareness, proper systems, and timely outreach. Vulnerable individuals continue to live in dangerous and unhealthy conditions on the streets. Seva Aashray bridges this gap.

Our intervention ensures:

  • Immediate Shelter

Homeless and helpless individuals are shifted into safe spaces.

  • Dignified Living

Access to food, sanitation, and basic care.

  • Health & Safety

Patients and sick individuals are kept in a hygienic environment for better recovery.

  • Awareness & Advocacy

Raising the issue of underutilized government shelters and ensuring they serve their real purpose.

Our Impact

Through Seva Aashray, OSA has already provided shelter to a large number of homeless individuals, bringing them under safe roofs and giving them a chance at dignity and care. Families of patients who once slept outside hospitals now have a place to stay. Elderly and abandoned individuals have found a new sense of belonging.

This initiative has also created a strong dialogue around the need for better functioning and utilization of government shelter homes. Our persistent efforts have brought attention to the fact that while many shelters remain vacant, countless people are still on the streets.

Beyond Shelter – A Step Towards Dignity

Seva Aashray is not just about providing temporary shelter—it is about restoring hope, security, and self-respect. For many, it is the first step toward stability, recovery, and reintegration into society.
